An example of Lillian Pitt's gift for continually reinventing herself in new media while
remaining true to her tradition is the glass art she began creating in 2006, following a fellowship at
Evergreen College's Longhouse. She continued the work at Studio Ramp in Portland
under the tutelage of Jeremy Lepisto and at Oroborous under Bill Ward You will note that in the glass art below,
she continues to incorporate the legends and petroglyphs of her
people that are such a long-standing element of her art in media ranging from masks, statuettes, and prints to public art.

Above is a version of one of Lillian's enduring images, She Who Watches, that she created
in 2006. With the stand, it measures 16" x 6" x 4. " This and the masks below are cast in leaded crystal,
then cold-worked and sand blasted to give the frosted look of beach glass. The metal work is by Aaron Loveitt of Artility Studio.

CAST GLASS PANELS
The one of a kind glass panels shown below consist of a series of four to six layers,
one for each color and petroglpyh design, which are then fused and
slumped over a mold. They measure 12"x16"x1/2" with a curvature of 4" and are available
at Bonnie Kahn's Wild West Gallery
